Tested and certified by an independent lab to handle the types of forces required by the National Highway Traffic Safety Admin. DOT and SAE J385 Rev. MAR 95, Motor Vehicle Seat Belt Anchorages-Performance Requirements.

The R-1201 E36 harness mount bar properly locates the shoulder harnesses for maximum protection and comfort. Easy to install and remove, use only existing holes and mounting points for those who want to preserve the integrity of their car.  It will not damage the car in any way.

Strength requirements for harness mounts are considerably greater than those for harness guide bars since they must support the entire load applied to the belts.

Material: Type 304, stainless steel.
Finish: Powdercoated in durable black wrinkle-finish.
Weight: 16 Lbs.
Models: '95 - '99 E36, fits M3 Coupe Chassis. Does NOT fit Convertible.
Installation: Bar is mounted to the rear side lap belt mounting points via brackets that are installed once and remain in the car. Support rods are attached to the ends of the main tube while the other end attaches to car at the front lap belt mounting points located at the door sills.
Installation Instructions
Miscellaneous: Bar is designed to allow enough seat travel for tall drivers. After initial installation the bar can be removed and reattached in about 15 minutes. Includes provisions for Seat Back Brace.
