This Seat Track Adapter is for an aftermarket seat installation in the Drivers Side S550 Mustang. This adapter bolts to the factory mounting holes and lowers the position of the seat, lowering the center of gravity, reducing weight, adding helmet head room and gives the driver better connection to the car with more feel through the seat.
 
The R-9184 Seat Track Adapter works with a variety of Brey-Krause side mounts allowing for the installation of seats from various manufacturers.  Using side mounts, seats can be mounted to aftermarket sliders or directly to the floor for a better connection to the car.  This product also has provisions for the R-9186 Sub Strap mount and lap belt mounts (not included).

The picture above shows both the R-9184 Seat Adapter and R-9186 Sub Strap Mount.

This part requires either Side Mounts and Recaro sliders or just Side Mount, see below for more information.

Brey-Krause seat side mounts and Recaro (part# 0.20.40) sliders mount directly to this floor pan kit, placing the seat in the lowest possible position. The add-on R-9186 Sub Strap Mount is adjustable for proper 5 or 6-point sub-strap routing. This design allows for reuse of stock 3-point belts, and the unit provides inboard/outboard lap belt mounting locations.
