Porterfield Carbon Kevlar R4-1 Racing Brake Pad:  AP 484 R4-1 

Porterfield R4-1 Carbon Kevlar Racing Brake Pads were developed and tested in the Vintage Racing community. Because of the high coefficient of friction (?) at low temperatures, these are fast becoming the Autocross brake pad of choice. A peak ? of .600 the R4-1 pad can reach close to ? of .500 at temperatures as low as 200?F. The R4-1 brake pads are widely used on Vintage GT and Formula car where pad temps are under 600?F and peak temps are below 1,000?F. This is also a good Rally-Cross brake pad.

Typical AP 484 R4-1 applications are Chrysler Sebring Coupe. Dodge Avenger, Colt Vista 2WD, Colt Vista 4WD and Stratus. Eagle Summit, Talon and Talon TSi Turbo 2WD. Mitsubishi Eclipse, Eclipse Turbo 2WD, Eclipse Turbo 4WD, Expo, Expo LRV, Galant and Mirage. Plymouth Colt and Laser front brakes..
