Typical Raybestos R 780.18 ST42 applications are Ferrari F40 and F50 front and rear brakes. Ferrari Testarossa and 512 front brakes. Ford Mustang w/Brembo 4-piston calipers. Aftermarket Brembo Gran Turismo 4-Piston Calipers.

ST42 Compound-
The ST42 compound is being phased out by Raybestos. The ST42 compound is generally used where a pad needs to withstand high temperatures but with a medium CoF (Coeficient of Friction). The general max temperature rating is around 1150?F. The ST42 pad works well on lower horsepower, lighter weight cars. They are favorable in endurance racing because of their excelent low wear characteristics of pads and rotors. Very common on the SFR/BRZ and Miata applications.

Your next best choice would be the Raybestos ST43 compound. A stronger CoF compared to the ST42, but excelent for pad and rotor wear.
